All old verified accounts will soon lose their Blue badges, according to Musk, as those are "seriously compromised."
A new service for businesses on Twitter called Twitter Verification for Organizations has recently been introduced by the microblogging network. This service adds a gold checkmark to authentic business accounts on Twitter.
Businesses have been instructed by Twitter to pay $1,000 per month in order to keep their gold badges; those that fail to do so will see their checkmarks removed.
